Ascension – صعود is the name of a famous and old game in the genre of card games (board or tabletop) that was first developed by the American company Playdek in 2011 and after physical versions, was released as a digital game. In 2014, the first official version of this game for the Android operating system became available. This game is one of the few card games that has had several expansion packs released in recent years. It should also be noted that this game, which was initially released under the name Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer, is the first official licensed mobile card game developed by Asmodee Digital for Android phones and tablets. After several years and the addition of several expansion packs, this game has been published under the original name Ascension in various sources. Ascension or صعود tells an interesting and historical story. According to the story told by the creators, the game’s story is about a mountainous and mysterious area called Alosya, located in a valley between several mountains. The residents of this area have refrained from any interaction and relationship with the outside world for centuries, turning this area into a strange and remote place. The residents of the Alosya valley are ancient civilizations who have been living in this area for centuries. These civilizations have collapsed several times, but their fate has not been destruction. The god of the people of this land is life and death. For this reason, they build two great temples for these purposes to show their respect and value. But years later, corruption and duality prevail in this land. Many people in this place build a third temple with each other’s help and name it Immortality, destroying the eternal and ancient balance, which will have unpleasant consequences for them.
In the game Ascension, you are supposed to travel to this land and discover the adventures and mysteries of this valley. The actions of the inhabitants of this area cause major changes in this land. Monsters and supernatural forces come out of the mountains, and a terrible turmoil begins throughout this land. You are tasked with participating in game missions and using more than 50 different cards and forces to control the situation. The game’s overall complexity seems a bit too much, and usually only card game enthusiasts can quickly connect with such games. However, there is an interesting tutorial system at the beginning of the game that teaches you how to play. Ascension has two main sections, offline and online. In the offline section, you can play against artificial intelligence and try to win in card competitions. In the online section, you can compete with other online players simultaneously. The game’s creators say they have made great efforts in the design and graphics of the game, and the optimizations made in the game allow it to be run according to the processing power of the devices.
